Common Knowledge and Learning Curves

This publication extends on the artist’s first Australian solo institutional exhibition, Common Knowledge and Learning Curves, presented at Artspace, Sydney, from 29 June – 19 August 2018, and touring to Griffith University Art Museum, Brisbane, in 2019.

Common Knowledge and Learning Curves stems from de Souza’s interest in the ways we teach and learn, transforming the gallery through spatial interventions and related public programs. The exhibition seeks to break down common hierarchies in knowledge exchange, using architectural and educational theory to explore radical pedagogy and the ways in which space informs teaching and learning.

Common Knowledge and Learning Curves features a conversation between the artist and Remy Low, in addition to text from Bec Dean.
