First Nations Fashion + Design: Reclamation

Transforming First Nations Fashion + Design's upcoming Reclamation runway show into a living installation, this immersive showcase invites you to experience the work of six First Nations artists beyond the runway.

Co-presented with Artspace, Reclamation emphasises cultural significance beyond fashion, weaving together rich Indigenous heritage with contemporary artistry through wearables, textile art, dance and performance.

Featuring works by Grace Lillian Lee, KingKing, MumRed, Merrepen Arts, Nungala Creative and Tjarlirli & Kaltukatjara Art and a further two FNFD Residency Program participants: Lisa Lui and Ivy Minniecon, this showcase captures the energy, storytelling and presence of the live runway.

Foregrounding distinct approaches to materiality, craftsmanship and narrative, Reclamation creates space for reflection, visibility and ongoing dialogue – embodying an evolving journey of cultural expression and creative sovereignty.
