Artist-to-artist: Charles Levi and Amelia Skelton

Join artists Charles Levi and Amelia Skelton for an artist-to-artist conversation examining the ways materials carry memory and how objects are shaped by the relationships, histories and forms of knowledge that surround them.

Drawing on their works currently on display in the 2026 NSW Visual Arts Fellowship (Emerging) exhibition at Artspace, the artists will reflect on how artistic processes unfold through research, exchange and sustained attention to material practice.

Through an open dialogue between their practices, this conversation offers insight into the ways artists work with materials to ask questions, share knowledge and generate new ways of understanding the world around us.
