Kaldor Public Art Projects and Artspace are pleased to present a collaborative forum to discuss performance in relation to the Australian Artists Residency Program, Marina Abramović: In Residence and Artspace's current exhibition, Art As a Verb. This discussion will explore art as action, boundaries between performative acts and everyday life, the material of spectatorship and contemporary relationships between performance and audiences.
Facilitated by Artspace Curator Talia Linz, speakers include: Frances Barrett (Artist, Artists' Resdency Program, Art As a Verb, and Performance Curator at Campbelltown Arts Centre), Francis Parker (Monash University of Art: Co-curator Art As a Verb), Emma Pike (Kaldor Public Art Projects: Co-curator Marina Abramović: In Residence, Artist's Residency Program), Sarah Rodigari (Artist, Artists' Residency Program and Art As a Verb) and zin (Harriet Gillies and Roslyn Helper – Artist Partnership, Artists' Residency Program). This event will feature individual presentations by each speaker followed by a panel discussion.
