Public Talk | The Moving Museum

Public Talk | The Moving Museum
When | Saturday 31 October, 3pm – 5pm
Location | Artspace, Ground Floor

Overview

Artspace is delighted to present a talk by Aya Mousawi and Simon Sakhai, the dynamic London-based Artistic Directors of The Moving Museum, during their first visit to Australia.

The Moving Museum runs a nomadic program of contemporary art in significant locations across the world. In their first three years they have presented major projects in Dubai, London and Istanbul, working with over 100 artists and commissioning over 80 new artworks across all media. The program is comprised of temporary residencies, exhibitions, artwork commissions, educational and public programming, publications and digital platforms, with an aim to re-define the relationship between local art scenes and global practitioners.

The Moving Museum will deliver a keynote in Melbourne for the Curatorial Intensive, presented by National Exhibitions Touring Support (NETS) Victoria in partnership with the Public Galleries Association of Victoria (PGAV). Their visit is supported by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body.
