Introducing the second annual Parramatta Artists Studios (PAS) presentation at Artspace, part of a four-year partnership that sees the two institutions working collaboratively to further support artists in Western Sydney through curatorial dialogue, mentorship and advocacy.
Current PAS artists Emma Fielden, Mehwish Iqbal, Anna McMahon, Nadia Odium and Salote Tawale have worked closely with Artspace curators through a series of studio visits and mentored exchanges over the past three months. This process will culminate in a group exhibition in Artspace’s Ideas Platform, co-curated by Artspace Executive Director Alexie Glass-Kantor, Curator Talia Linz, Curatorial Assistant Lola Pinder and Parramatta Studios Coordinator Sophia Kouyoumdjian.
Each year the PAS exhibition in the Ideas Platform is launched alongside the annual NSW Visual Arts Fellowship (Emerging), reflecting the creative synergies of practitioners working across New South Wales.
This exhibition is presented at Artspace in partnership with Parramatta Artists Studios. Parramatta Artists Studios is an initiative of the City of Parramatta.
