William Seeto describes his artwork as constructed, architecture-based perceptual environments that utilise and coexist with the architectural space.
William Seeto describes his artwork as constructed, architecture-based perceptual environments that utilise and coexist with the architectural space. Minimal and at times ephemeral, his work deals mainly with space and perception. The purpose of the work is to enable viewers to focus back on their own sensibilities and alter perceived spatial perception on a visceral as well as intellectual level.
A recurrent feature is the heightening of the individual's awareness of perception centred on experience. He has worked on a variety of site-specific perceptual environments that utilise real and virtual space to create installations consisting of a series of infinity-windows, timber frames, anomalous light fields, photomedia, as well as ephemeral works with corrugated cardboard cartons, craft paper, linseed oil, powdered pigment and chalk.
