Overview

This performance alludes to the journey of the FILIPINO DIASPORA, their quest to "attain happiness", their going overseas in search of a "greener pasture". This is not just a grotesque reality but a surreal fact, that about ten million Filipinos are dispersed if not displaced around the world today.

I am some kind of a hybrid Filipino.

I am in a constant CRISIS.

The "chinese-in-me" will write the word CRISIS in two characters "WEI" and "JI". WEI represents "danger" and the other character JI represents "opportunity". I can be destroyed or can actually be strengthened by my many LIFE/ART CRISES.

I guess, the pursuit of happiness is a fundamental human right.
